Spring

Betsy Grant created this video with nature photos from my blogs and her original piano music.  I find Betsy's music particularly soothing, like gentle rain in the desert, and I trust you will enjoy it as well...

Birds and Berries

These pictures are from February 29th when Cedar Waxwings, Desert Mistletoe berries and Western Bluebirds were observed on a mesquite tree at Sabino Canyon. There are still some berries left but the waxwings and bluebirds have probably migrated by now.

Desert Museum

Here are just a few of the many wondrous things to see at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum:

Aloes and other succulent plants

javelina sculptures

wildflowers such as these penstemons

prairie dogs

Beautiful views all around!

coyote

organ pipe cactus

cactus wren on saguaro ribs

bighorn sheep

trails to explore

bobcat

Mexican honeysuckle

The drive along the way to the museum is scenic too.  I thought the sky looked pretty that day, these clouds reminding me of wildflowers:
